From a man dressed in a panda suit to elite runners capable of striding 42km in just over two hours, the 2016 Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon will feature thousands of runners each with a different role to play in the world’s richest long distance running event.

Now ranked second in the world behind only the London Marathon, the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon will take to the streets of the emirate on Friday (January 22) ready to add to an already impressive roll of honour.

Team Angel Wolf’s Rio Watson will make history on Friday (January 22) when the twelve-year old becomes the youngest-ever competitor in the main event of the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon.
