Just days after receiving Gold Label status from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon has unveiled a new route that will take the world’s richest long distance running race back into the heart of the city.

Dubai (UAE): The Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon, the world’s richest long distance running event, has joined the athletics elite following the announcement that it has received Gold Label status from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).

Dubai (UAE): Despite a mid-race burst by pre-race favourite Eliud Kiptanui, it was Kenyan David Baramasai who stunned a red-hot field to win the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon yesterday (Friday).
